About us

BexTheChef & Co was established in May 2020 by married couple Rebecca and Calvin Graca Dias. We are both professional chefs and met at Silwood Kitchens in Cape Town. Our joint passion for food lead to the inception of BTC.

BexTheChef has an ethos of quality and tasty meals with no shortcuts taken.

BexTheChef offers a weekly changing menu based on season and what can be supplemented from our Urban based veggie garden on site.

The menu is designed to provide our customers with balanced and delicious meals. The menu has a 9-week rotation so you will never be bored but will be assured to get a chance to eat your favourite meal again. We offer gluten-free and Vegetarian alternatives for each meal.

I have been using Bex the Chef for about 4 or 5 months now. I started ordering weekly, but the last 3 or so months have just committed to the month up front and what I get next week is a surprise.

None of the pre-cooked meals I have ordered have ever disappointed me – I’ve not tried the frozen meals but am sure they’re just as good. The pre-cooked meals do not taste like the standard bulk-produced prepared frozen meals I’ve tried from shops, on the contrary, they’re freshly prepared and tasty, like a good home-cooked meal.

I’m 1.8m big guy and can eat, and thier portions are always filling to the point of being satisfied. I’m never left feeling there should have been more. Id recommend Bex the Chef if you don’t have the time or don’t enjoy preparing for yourself – and I am both of these.
